How loyal are iPhone owners?

Loyal enough to drive up a price target.

Apple Insider has word of a new Morgan Stanley Alpha Wies survey.

According to that, the piece says, 92% of iPhone owners who are somewhat or extremely likely to upgrade within the next 12 months and tend to buy Apple, which does of

course bode well for the super cycle. A couple of interesting notes around the loyalty numbers.

First, the 92% is up from 86% the same time a year earlier. And second,

while Apple is holding most of the people it has, it sounds like there are plenty of other people to

pull in.

Running down the retention numbers for people somewhat are extremely likely to upgrade

smartphones in the next year, 92% of iPhone owners will buy a new iPhone.

77% of Samsung owners will stay with Samsung.

59% of LG owners will stay with LG.

56% of Motorola owners will stay with Motorola, and 42% of Nokia owners plan to stay with

Nokia.

I didn't know that was even possible anymore.
