Another Apple target heads north.

Barron's head can accordionuity analyst team Michael Walkley issuing a note on Tuesday,

praising iPhones huge installed base, the likelihood of growth for that

installed base, and the fact that Apple is sucking up nearly all of the profits in the smartphone

space.

You've heard about the super cycle, right? Suddenly, so is

team money. According to the report, Walkley thinks demand for the presumed

forthcoming iPhone 8 will be greater than he had suspected.

Quoting his note, we believe the iPhone installed base will exceed $635 million exiting

calendar year 2017, and this impressive installed base should drive

strong iPhone replacement sales and earnings as well as cash flow generation to

fund strong long-term capital returns. That was one sentence.

Thankfully this is not.

According his note again, based on our analysis, we estimate Apple captured 83% of the first quarter of calendar year 2017
