You know, that attitude of no one really understands but me?

Yeah, stop me if you think you've heard this one before.

UBS analyst Steve, no nickname Melunovich, says iPhone sales are going to be bigger than most expect.

Seen that, had the analyst issuing a note on Thursday.

In it, he said he thinks Apple may sell as many as 51.1 million iPhones this quarter. That is significantly higher than the 45

million units the rest of Wall Street is expecting. If history is any

indicator this will be the last full quarter before the next iPhone is released.

Sales of current generation iPhones usually start drying up this time of year,

but here's the interesting bit. 51.1 million would be drying up, despite coming

in way higher than the 35 million units Apple sold for the same quarter in 2014.

That's because the last quarter was soaked with iPhones.

Apple surprised the planet by selling 61.2 million iPhones last quarter, while 51.1 million would represent a sizable sequential drop-off.
