This year's W.W. D.C. opening Maco-S-Kam.

This year's W. W. D.C. opening address could be sort of strange.

There's more and more talk lately of Apple announcing some sort of Siri home speaker system at

W. W. D.C.

That would compete directly with Amazon's Echo.

There's also been word of a thaw between Amazon and Apple that could see an app for Apple TV that would bring Amazon Prime video to connected devices.

Now 9 to 5 Mac highlights a buzzfeed report that says not only is that going to happen,

it's going to be announced on stage at W.W. D.C. It won't be a day of release, though.

The same secret sources that informed a buzzfeed of the planned announcement say the launch

won't come until sometime this summer. Once the video app is announced or maybe

once it's actually launched the piece says Amazon will resume sales of Apple TV.

The reason the company had given for not selling Apple Streamer was because Amazon Prime Video wouldn't work on it natively.

So skimming back through the rumors, it's possible that Apple and

Amazon are going to bury the video hatchet on stage at W. W. D.C.

Then Apple's going to pull out a new hatchet and try to take down the echo if the

rumors are true. This year's WDC opening address could be sort of strange. The show kicks off on Monday the 5th of June at

10 a.m. Pacific 1 p.m. Eastern and other times in other time zones.
