Apple got a bit of a wacky Wall Street upgrade on Tuesday.

Business Insider had Pacific Crest securities analyst Andy Hargreaves raising his rating on the

Cooper Tino company's shares from sector perform to outperform and giving them a price

target of $635. While there may be plenty of solid reasons for such moves,

Hargreaves reasons seem rather tenuous, predicated as they are on Apple

releasing a larger iPhone and on that larger iPhone costing consumers $100 more to start out. His reasoning for the upgrade says the piece he believes

Apple will release a 4.7 inch iPhone 6 in the fall. He thinks Apple will charge

$299 for the phone on contract, which is $100 above what it

charges for the iPhone 5S.

That will boost sales and earnings.

He thinks Apple will see a lot of iPhone

upgrades this year buying the big screen phone. Now do the one about the

full-on television everybody knows Apple is building. I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying, well, I'm just saying.

To Hargreaves thinking, Apple customers have money, so $100 isn't that big a deal to them. Quoting Business Insider again, he cites the failure of the iPhone 5C as evidence that

Apple's customers don't mind spending an extra $100 for a better product. There is also a bit of fiction factored into the Pacific Rest
