iPhone 5 rumors crop up out of nowhere, rounding out the iPad 2 talk, and subscription issues continue.

With 48 hours left on Monday to anticipate a new iPad 2, you'd think that that would be the only

potential eye thing about which we'd be hearing and reading. Instead, we got iPad 2 speculation and a decent bit of speculation about new iPhones.

First, they were dueling rumors out of the Far East of iPhones with bigger screens and without.

9-5 Mac has pictures from a Chinese reseller that the reseller says are apart

for iPhone 5 with room for a bigger touch screen than iPhones passed.

Calling horse hockey on the bigger screen picks though, the Taiwanese site

T.W. Apple. pro. Apple Incider has that site saying the bigger screen picks are fakes or at least

not for iPhone 5. Then it shows off picks of pieces and

parts of its own. Well, piece or part. Apple Insider says the site posted a pick of what it says

is a 30-pin dot connector for Apple's next

iPhone. While the site says the bigger iPhone screen pick is a fake it says without

pictures to back it up that Apple is building a new iPhone model with a sliding cover.

Neither seems super likely to me, but what do I know?

Then there was the more vague iPhone talk, though from more reliable sources, MacNN and several other sites

had word of a research note from Sanford Bernstein analyst Tony Sakanagi

who met recently with a passal of Apple execs including Apple C.O. Tim Cook, Apple CFO Peter
