Electroneista says the good people at I Fixit have torn a brand new 15 inch

Macbook Pro to shreds. Some of what they found has little practical application for now, while some is very useful.

In the interesting but mostly useless pile, can you name the fourth largest chip in the incredibly new machine?

If you said the controller for Intel's new

Thunderbolt I.O, you must have already read the story. I fix it plans to have the chip

x-rayed to see what's what on its inside. In the more useful pile, the firm gives the new

machine a 7 out of 10 rating for reparability. They say accessing major

components in the mid-range machine is relatively easy.

In fact, the only component they found particularly problematic was the

LCD since removing it could lead to shattering it in pretty short order.

Ram and the new unit has been upgraded to the same Ram used in today's IMAX,

and the Macbook Pro's wireless card has four antennas now instead of three,

which the piece says should lead to greater range and a more stable wireless
