If the question is, what will Apple Watch do?

The answer may be.

Not as much as Apple had hoped initially.

Apple World Today highlights a report from the Wall Street Journal that says Apple had hoped

to get a more hardcore health tracker out of the wearable than it ended up being able to produce.

Reportedly meant originally to measure blood pressure, heart activity, and stress levels, among other things,

the sensors just aren't there yet.

So Apple nicks the plan.

The piece quotes the journal is saying development languished because much of the

health sensor technology failed to meet Apple's standards.

These features were shelved for the first version of the watch, but they may be included in future models

the people familiar with the matter set. What the Apple Watch world will be wearing

instead is less of a medical monitor and more of a fashion and fitness accessory.

Of course it'll still do plenty of other stuff including received notifications, play music,

make Apple pay payments, and the list goes on.
