Uncertainty leaning towards negativity abounds as we zero in on this Thursday's earnings

report from Apple.

That's the one where Apple will say how much money it made and how many phones it sold last

quarter. But it was a holiday quarter and everyone assumes that those numbers will be

awesome. What's got some investors spooked is Apple's

anticipated guidance for the current quarter. See Wall Street has that set

really high for a March quarter, but now Wall Street is afraid that Apple will guide below Wall Street's

expected guidance which has Apple shares slipping a bit over the past couple of

weeks. According to a piece from Business Insider, Apple stock is down 5% from its recent high of $180 earlier

this month and given that Apple stock is still trading near its 52-week high there's

plenty more room for it to fall if the company confirms people's fears

with a weaker than expected quarter.

Enter Apple Bull, GBA Channelist Dan Ives.

His rating on Apple shares is highly attractive. That's not me saying that, that's his actual

rating. He's also got a price target on Apple shares of $205 and yet he is not giving investors much to be excited about near term.
