She is campaigning for a change in the law.

She wants those who kill police officers in the line of duty

to face a statutory life imprisonment. And if I may, I remind you precisely how PC Harper was killed.

His widow, Lizzie Harper, only 29 years old, only just got married, and PC Harper went to respond as a

first responder to reports of a crime. And the suspects then, now criminals, dragged his body

behind a car to his death. And I apologize if that's distressing for anyone, but that's the way in which

this police officer was murdered. Now, having just been married to Lizzie Harper, but even more than that,

regardless of how soon they were married, it's heartbreaking for anyone to go through this.

But her entire life that was set ahead of her has been destroyed and changed

irrevocably. So she is campaigning for a change in the law. Now, the context of this in a broader

sense isn't lost on me and shouldn't be lost on everybody else. And that is that in the current unstable political climate,
