| 0:20.0 | Welcome to our Rosary meditation. Today we are meditating on the deadly sin of lust. |

| 0:34.0 | Now let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. |

| 0:45.8 | Olivia Canili. First John chapter 4 tells us God is love, which means this. |
| 0:55.0 | God the Father gave of himself so totally and completely that this gift begets the son. Since the father holds nothing back in his giving, |
| 1:06.0 | the son becomes all that the father is. |
| 1:09.0 | He too is God. |
| 1:10.0 | The son receives the gift of the father and responds to this gift with the total gift of himself. |
| 1:17.0 | And the love between the father and the son is so real that this mutual gift of self is another person, the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit. |
| 1:26.6 | In fact, the Holy Spirit is the bond of love in person between the Father and the Son. |
| 1:47.0 | So when scripture says God is love, what is meant is that God is a free and total gift of self that results in a permanent union of persons from which another person springs forth. Furthermore, God designed marriage and sexual love to be an icon, a reflection and expression of his love. |

| 2:28.0 | The deadly sin of lust by contrast reduces that to a selfish taking instead of a generous giving. |
