I'd say watching Phil Markell look at photos of his son, Danny Markell,

autopsy photos, with a pair of gunshot wounds in his head and one gunshot wound right between the eyes.

At that moment, when that happened in court just a few moments ago, Phil was looking up at that photo.

It just broke my heart. Ruth Markell had to leave the courtroom.

She was tearing up a little bit, and Shelley Markell was just looking straight down at her lap. It was

a lot to handle. And then what made it even more unbearable was Don Adelson's reaction, crying, and she was being comforted by her own paralegal, but for all the wrong reasons.

Because I think at that moment she realized she is the root of this evil and the cause of this carnage and this attempt to get justice over the last 11 plus years.

is courtroom 3G. So I've got to be aware of my surroundings

and talking a little bit softer tone, but this is the hallway. And you'll see people,

obviously, there's a lunch break right now at the very end of this hallway. Over my right shoulder,

down to the left is a courtroom,

uh, 3G where all of this is transpiring.

But of course, opening statements finally happened today before a jury of eight men,

six women, predominantly white jury, two, uh, black people on it, a woman, middle-aged, and a younger African-American male, and also one Hispanic woman.

But they were, during opening statements, absolutely riveted by Sarah Catherine Dugan.

She delivered the opening statements today, not Georgia Kaplan.

And I have been messaging and tweeting all day on Twitter at podcast STS.

And I got to say, you know, Georgia gets most of the shine as is well-deserved prosecutor of the year.
