More importantly though, and we hate to do this right off the top, where does the loss to Panama rank for the U.S. men's national team in terms of disappointments, both recent and distant in your opinion?

Oh, man, I mean, listen, it's not as bad as a 2017 lost to Trinidad

Tobago that obviously forced the failure for the US I meant to qualify for Russia

in 2018 it's not as bad as that because that was a

catastrophe and a forceful decision for every American soccer analyst and

everybody within the US organization to get the US M&T to get back from course. But it's number two. I'll tell you that right now. I think the loss to Panama is on number two and and there's a few reasons for it. Obviously it was the manner in which the loss happened.

We can talk about Timuea in a moment

and the bad decision that he made.

But it's also about the fact that Red Card or no Red Card it was just the fact that this is

Cop America a South American competition but they faced a familiar fall in Panama

somebody they know very well. They lost to them last

summer as well. So they know what they were facing. So I think coupled with that and

the fact that they fell into Panama's trap makes it to me

the second most disastrous loss definitely in modern history for the US MNT.
