Summary

If you listen to one podcast this year it needs to be this one. Yep, I'm backing it that much! Low self worth, high self doubt, feelings of inadequacy, general insecurities about the person I was and what I had to offer... they've all plagued me my entire life. I had resigned myself to thinking "this is just who I am; as if I can change a fundamental part of myself". I'm sure you can relate in one way or another. It's something my mentor Holly Loxton calls the 'not good enough program'. She joins me in this episode to pick apart the entire thing. Why we feel that way, who or what made us feel that way, why it's important that we change our beliefs and HOW we change them. That last bit is the most important because it gives us the power back over our own lives. We no longer have to feel like a victim to our beliefs and insecurities. You can completely transform your life if you take the first step and start believing that you're worthy of change. I love you guys so much and I sincerely hope you enjoy today's episode. If you did, please don't forget to subscribe, rate and review :) You can also find Holly and more info about her course here. xx

Hey guys, welcome to the Mental Makeover podcast. I'm Lauren Curtis. You've probably heard the phrase the grass is always greener on the other side, but I believe it's greener where you water it. This podcast is here to provide you with meaningful advice from myself and others in order to give your little patch of grass the best chance to grow and flourish.

0:23.6

Hi everyone, this is probably going to be one of the most important podcasts you listen to this year.

0:30.7

I'm really backing myself on this one. It is so life-changing and I can't wait for you to listen to it. I'm joined by Holly Loxton. She has

0:41.8

been the one that has helped me with my self-worth and all of the information given in this

0:48.9

episode is just so important and I know at least I can speak for myself I wish I had heard all of this like 10

0:57.1

years ago also at the end of the podcast she is sharing a very special announcement about a course

1:03.1

that she has just launched which is again like transformational in so many ways and she has allowed

1:10.6

my followers to have a massive discount if

1:14.4

they choose to proceed with it. So yeah, if you'd like to hear more about that, then just fast

1:19.0

forward to the end of the episode. But I strongly, strongly suggest listening to the whole thing

1:24.4

because I know for myself, I'm going to be referencing back to

1:28.0

this probably for the rest of my life. I don't know. It's just so, so good. And yeah, I want to

1:36.3

stop talking, let you listen to it yourselves. I hope you guys enjoy. So I first came to you

1:41.5

about two months ago out of a desire to get on top of my self-worth issues.

1:48.9

I have struggled with that for as long as I can remember, not feeling good enough,

1:55.3

inadequacy, self-worth, self-down, all that good stuff.

1:58.1

And I spoke about this in an episode of the podcast a few weeks

2:03.9

back, but never really felt like that was a worthy enough reason or a good enough reason to

2:10.1

reach out and seek help. And I guess I just felt like this was who I am and this is the way I was destined to feel forever

2:18.8

because I'm sure many people listening can understand like when you feel so strongly about something

2:23.3

or when you feel a certain way and you felt that way for so long like the possibility of not

2:28.1

feeling that way just seemed impossible. It didn't seem like you, it just didn't seem like something
