0:10.6	One of the things that's been kind of hard to deal with as a Christian who creates resources based around scripture is the hate that would stir up online. And especially
0:24.7	if I run an ad for anything, man, it never fails. And it's gotten better as I've learned how to
0:30.7	target things. But if I mention anything about the scriptures or the gospel or God or the Bible,
0:37.4	it literally brings out vitriol in people that hate Jesus,
0:43.1	that hate the gospel, that hate all of that. And of course, that bothers me because of how
0:49.5	lost they are, but I hate thinking that anybody hates me. you know, and I think it's one of those things
0:55.7	where my heart is really to serve people and to love people. And so when I recognize that there
1:01.7	is so much hate pointed towards the gospel or to Jesus, it just weighs heavy on me. And yet,
1:08.8	what we see in John chapter 15, we're doing the second half of it today,
1:13.0	is that the world hated Jesus. And he literally says, if the world hates you, know that it hated
1:19.4	me first. And while that softens the blow, it greys my heart. And it's the reality of the brokenness and the sin of this world.
1:34.6	But I want to spend a little bit of time studying this and the reality of what Jesus was saying when he said those things.
1:41.3	And so we're in John chapter 15 and I'm going to be reading verses 12 through 27.
1:47.3	It says, this is my commandment that you love one another just as I have loved you.
1:53.1	Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends.
1:58.3	You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you
2:02.7	slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing, but I have called you friends
2:07.1	because all things that I have heard from my father, I have made known to you. You did not choose
2:13.6	me, but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit and that your
2:19.4	fruit would remain so that whatever you ask of the Father in my name he may give it to you,
2:24.6	this I command you that you love one another. If the world hates you, you know that it has
