Good evening, everybody. How y'all doing? We're going to start this week off, right? We got a great show plan for you.

As always, I've got my caffeine levels, right? I got good sleep yet last night. So I got a great show plan for you.

I hope you guys are, man, getting through things. You know, I remember thinking, I actually said this on the show many, many times, like, all right, y'all,

this summer's going to be different.

This fall is going to be different.

I even said to patience in my practice, don't worry, y'all.

Like, we're going to see our families.

We're going to be on the vacations we want to be on.

We're going to have our holidays the way we want to have them. And apparently I wasn't, or let me say differently,

apparently I was underestimating collective care, empathy, and responsibility because a lot of

people apparently don't understand that we are responsible for the impact we have on others.

I talk about that as often as I can on the show because that's a major reorientation from how we see things in a lot of cultures, but especially our

American culture. We really think we only have to worry about ourselves or our family or our friends

or our neighborhood or our state or our country. I mean, again, all these arbitrary divisions

that aren't real and we're not getting vaccinated,

or we're fighting the need to wear masks.

Delta is kicking our butts and no hope in sight.

Let's be honest, I don't see hope and sight.

I think this is something as I read all the articles that is going to be with us for a while.

The Delta variant is not going to be the last variant. There will be more to come. We will be learning

still as to whether or not we need boosters, new vaccines. We're still looking at the data as to how long

the prior vaccines will last for those of us that caring about others, right, having actual empathy.
