Good evening, everybody. How are y'all doing? Got a great show plan for you. Basically,

0:04.8

going to be talking about how to do a little self-help therapy of your own. Nothing can replace the

0:09.6

work of working with an actual licensed therapist. But there's a few things you can do just to kind

0:15.4

to help yourself. So we're going to be talking about how to do a little bit of a self-help

0:18.3

cognitive behavioral style on your own. Basically, this is a little bit. It's a little bit of a self-help cognitive behavioral style on your own.

0:25.2

1:08.0

And when someone says something like, oh, I'm working on being a better person, that doesn't mean anything. If you don't have targeted goals that you can measure, well,

1:15.6

you can't really track whether or not you're working on anything or improvement is happening.

1:19.9

So we want to know what we're working on and we want to consistently be doing that because we

1:23.4

have to rewire our brains and our nervous systems. We have to track who we're being in the world and how we want to be different.

1:29.7

We have to pick a few aspects of our thinking or our behavior that we want to change or improve.

1:38.2

See that sigh?

1:39.6

It never stops.

1:40.5

And again, no judgment.
