Good evening, everybody. How you all doing? Hope your night is going well. Thanks for joining us. We got a great show planned for you. And I wanted to open the show by talking about children and watching these cord cases. I wish this wasn't even a topic that had to be brought up. It's more important as time goes on. So I'm pulling this from a bunch of different outlets, research, and discussion of this topic.

Should children be watching these trials and these verdicts?

So much to unpack.

So we're going to just spend this segment talking about it.

Basically, racism is real, right?

White supremacist culture.

And it's something that children will experience,

unfortunately, from birth. And this is something that everyone needs to have languaging around.

White children, especially, because those are the children that are part of the system of white

supremacy and racism. And part of, you know, being anti-racism and deconstructing it and dismantling it

is about having the, you know, our white children better educated around all this and understanding

race in America. So even though children of color, black children, white children might not directly witness this,

It's still part of our culture in personal and larger systemic ways.

We're not trying to be colorblind.

People say, I don't see color.

Well, yes, you literally do, unless you are literally colorblind.

But for the rest of us that are not colorblind, we do see color.
