Good evening, everybody. How are y'all doing? I hope you're getting through the week.

Well, here we are. It's winding down a little bit. We've got a little bit of week to go at the same time, though.

It's interesting. So through the course of different social media posts and topics

on the show and also things that are just kind of out there in the either's, narcissism is something

that a lot of people are talking a lot about. It's fascinating to hear it more and more and more.

Narcissistic abuse. Are you dating a narcissist? How to deal with a narcissistic parent? And I think

it's a word that we're overusing or misapplying. I think it's a term that we're weaponizing as a way to other and

in some ways, oppressed. Look, I'm not, you know, siding with what some would see as the perpetrator.

People are victimized by others that are very narcissistic. However, as a therapist, I do care

about the impact of everything on everyone. I do care about the impact of everything

on everyone. I do care about everyone. I'm all about restorative justice, transformative justice.

How can we heal the damage that was done? Bigger than that, how can we look at what it is that's

creating the people that are harming? That's part of when people talk about prison abolition.

It's about saying, we can't just take people and when they do bad things, lock them away and never look at

what is happening that is creating these people. What is happening that is making people do bad

things? Why don't we go to the target, the source, the systems that are

creating narcissists that are moving through the world harming other people. Bigger than that,

having empathy for the fact that these aren't supposed to be terms or diagnosis that are

punishing or shaming. There's supposed to be ways to understand someone

so we can help them. Hear that again. These diagnoses, the ability, our awareness of what is

narcissistic so as to determine who's a narcissist was not to be mad at them or to shame them
