We continue today speaking about love, that omnipresent emotion we feel on any given day that we see in many movies here in much of our music and read in most of our books.

So what really is love? In my work I have used the path to love as a means to

enlightenment and I described the path to love as having seven stages.

The first is attraction, the second is infatuation, The third is communion. The fourth is surrender. The fifth is

non-attachment. the sixth is passion, and the seventh is ecstasy. Now let me explain

these in detail. Level one, attraction. You are attracted to those people in

whom you find traits that you have but you want more of.

So you like to be in their company.

You like the energy of that which attracts you because you have those traits in yourself.

But you want more of.

Similarly, you're repelled by people who have traits

that you deny in yourself.

So think of someone that you would definitely not spend the weekend in Hawaii with because they

irritate you so much. Well that's a mirror too. Those that we love and those that we hate are both mirrors of our own self.

So attraction and repulsion bring yourself awareness.

And when they bring yourself awareness, you're ready to move to the second stage of love,

which in common language is called infatuation. Infatuation means to be silly with love, but lovers don't think

they're silly, they're just intensely focused on each other through attention,

through affection, through appreciation,

and through acceptance.

And this is the second stage that takes us to the third stage, which is communion.
