My guest this week is the actor, writer and novelist Ruth Jones.

She first appeared on screens in classic British comedies such as Nightingight and Little

Britain.

She played Kelly in the ITV comedy Fat Friends, where she met her co-star, the actor, writer

and now presenter James Corden.

Together, they wrote Gavin and Stacey.

It picked up a baffer, along with millions of fans and is still one of the most loved

and most quoted British sitcoms of modern time.

In 2008, she co-founded her own production company, Tidy Productions, with her husband

and together they created Stella for Sky One, which ran for six series.

Wellshy Dentity is at the heart of both Gavin and Stacey and Stella, but across all her

work is an infectious warmth and an authentic open heart.

Now she's written a novel.

Never Greener was published by Banten Press earlier this month and has already climbed to

number one on the Sunday Times best cellar list.

It happened by accident, actually.

About 13, 14 years ago I wrote a screenplay and this was before Gavin and Stacey and Stella

and I thought I'd try my hand at screenwriting.
