My guest this week is the comedian writer and actor Lolly Adafopi.

She is known first and foremost for her character comedy, in which she inhabits personas that

are not only recognisable in every friendship group, social situation and workplace, but

also make a comment on the zeitgeist or current socio-political climate.

Her unique brand of character comedy quickly led her to roles in sitcoms such as Damned,

Love Sik and Plebs.

In the last year, she's broken America, with less than half a decade of performing under

her belt.

Her historical workers, set in heaven, seize her starring alongside Daniel Radcliffe and

Steve Bouchemmi as God's assistant.

More recently, she was cast in Shrill, a TV adaptation of Lindy West's best-selling

memoir of the same name.

But while she has loved her initial taste of Hollywood, her heart is still very much

in London's comedy scene.

Well, last year, so December 2017, Janu 2018 was filming.

The whole time.

Yeah, I was away.

I was in America.
