Let's turn to 1 Peter the second chapter, and then we'll also look in Luke 14.

1 Peter 2, Luke 14.

1st Peter 2 5 says, you also as lively stones are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood,

to do something, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

The Bible teaches us that we've been made kings and we've been made priests unto our God.

And in our priestly function, priests offer sacrifices.

It's typified in the first covenant.

Now the Bible says there remains no more sacrifice for sin.

So we're not talking about sacrifices to pay for our mistakes or sacrifices whereby

we'll be saved by our good works.

No, no, no. That's been bought and paid for.

But we're talking about a love sacrifice, not trying to save ourselves with it, but out of love

in service to the one who's done everything for us.

In Hebrews 13, if you'd turn there.

Hebrews 13 were given some specific examples of the kind of sacrifices you and I can and should be offering.

Hebrews 13 and 15.

13.15 says by him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually.

How many think it would be a good idea to just go ahead and do that?
