love one another as we pick up in John chapter 15, verse 13.

And now with today's study, here's Pastor Chuck.

For greater love has no man than this, then a man will lay down his life for his friends.

That's the kind of love I have for you. I'm going to lay down my life for you to prove my love,

and this is the way I want you to love one another with a

self-sacrificing giving love where you will lay down your life for each other.

You are my friends if you do what I command you. The commandment is that we love one another.

Henceforth, I do not call you bond slaves, for the bond slave does not know what his Lord is doing,

but I have called you friends. For all things that I have heard of my

father, I have made known unto you. It is interesting, though Jesus declared this new relationship

no longer bond slaves but friends, that each of the writers of the New Testament took the phrase

bond slave to describe their relationship to him. Paul, a bond slave of Jesus Christ, by the will of God.

Jude, a bond slave, Peter, a bond slave slave, James a bond slave.
