And on today's edition of the word for today, Pastor Chuck continues his message,

bear fruit to God as we pick up in John chapter 15 verse 6.

And now with today's study, here's Pastor Chuck. If a man abides not in me. Now, this brings up an

interesting consideration. Is it possible for a man not to abide in Jesus Christ? If it were not

possible, why would Jesus even bring up then the prospect?

You see, if it weren't possible for a man not to abide in Jesus, he would not have even brought up

the prospect. But the fact that he brings up the prospect means that there is that possibility.

If a man abides not in me, he is cast forth as a branch and is withered, and men gather them and cast them into the fire and they are burned,

cut off from the vine, withered. And Isaiah tells us, no no it was Ezekiel that tells us the

worthlessness of a grape branch it's not strong enough to make a nail out of it

and you can't use it for any woodworking project because of its texture and makeup,

a grape branch is only good for one thing, and that's to produce grapes.

And if it doesn't do that, it really isn't good for anything else.
