In my free time, which is not much, I've been listening to autobiography of a yogi by Yogananda on

Audible. If you haven't read it or listened to it, get it. Both forms. Buy it in a book form so that

you can read and highlight the parts that you hear that are enlightening and deep and like, wow, it's amazing content steve jobs left this book

for the people that attended his funeral everybody received a copy of this book it was the only book

on his iPad it's a powerful look and to one man's experience of god but remember that, that man is you. It's just another one of

yourselves. You wrote that book. So you might want to listen to it. You might want to read about

your experience and walk through that door. It's an accessible doorway to the divine.

So I highly recommend it.

This quote doesn't come from that book but from one of his talks.

He was asked about the many ways that God responds to prayer.

And one of them is through the experience of joy and peace.

He says, if you repeatedly call on him with ever deeper concentration,

he will answer your prayer. A joy and peace will strike your heart. When that comes, you know that you are communing with God. What I noticed too is when that joy and peace comes, there are no words left.

That joy becomes the prayer.

And at the same time, it's the answer to the prayer.

He goes on, a subsistent inner happiness, unconditioned by any external influence, is evident proof of the responding presence of God.

He says the best course of action, since God is the source of all mental power, peace, and prosperity,

is to not will and act first, but to contact God first.

To feel bliss first. That's how we experience God.
