Well, years ago, I had an interesting conversation.

A woman told me, out of the blue, she said, I love the Bible.

I love my church.

But my pastor doesn't like Paul's books in the Bible, and neither do I.

Her comment jarred me. I'm like, you don't like Paul's writings? So do you just read parts of the

Bible that you like and you ignore Paul's words? She goes, yeah, exactly. That's what we do at our church.

And I was breathless. I didn't know what to say. And I'm thinking, where would we be

with all Paul's writings? I mean, God spoke mightily through him. I mean, he disciples us and

evangelized, teaches us about how to live for Christ when it costs us, how to be fruitful when we're in

obscurity or facing opposition.
