Thursday, May 14th, 2026. I'm Jessica Rosenthal. This primary season, some U.S. senators are facing challengers from the left or the right, and one incumbent fighting to keep his seat will find out this weekend

if he gets to run for a third term. So I feel very comfortable with where the polls are.

I anticipate doing very well on Saturday, and I anticipate having another term as a senator from

the great state of Louisiana. We speak with Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy. I'm Grinnell Scott.

We are weeks away from the celebration of America's birthday, and it's a big one this year, 250.

And among the gifts being given to our future generations is a new children's book that looks at the people of the past.

I know kids love superheroes, but I think we have a lot of them in our history,

if you're willing to open the pages. We'll talk with Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court,

Neil Gorsuch. And I'm Carol Markowitz. I've got the final word on the Fox News Rundown.

This year, Democrats have their sights set on a number of Senate seats. They think they can win these midterms. Some seats are open, like in Michigan and North Carolina. In Maine, they're looking to unseat Susan Collins with Democrat Graham Platner. In Ohio, former Senator Sherrod Browns already won his primary for John Houston's seat. They need to flip four seats to gain a majority in the Senate.

Another incumbent, though, is being challenged in his primary.

Massachusetts Democratic Senator Ed Markey is facing Congressman Seth Moulton later this year.

Four Republicans, challenges from the right have incumbent Senator John Corny, facing Texas Attorney General

Ken Paxton. And in Louisiana, Congresswoman Julia Letlow is challenging Senator Bill Cassidy.

She has President Trump's endorsement. Letlow told the Fox News Rundown podcast this week,

she decided to run because of Cassidy's vote nearly six years ago following the January 6th Capitol riot.

Louisiana was devastated by the vote that Senator Cassie took, not just to impeach the president,

but to convict him. You know, when I was running for this seat six years ago, I heard about it

wherever I went in my district. People were distraught and upset, and they have not forgotten.

Cassidy has a response to that and his own criticism of Letlow.
