I got on to him.

I was trying to research John Aylide, and then I ran in a book about him and one about

Gene Borrello.

And then I looked at the author and I thought,

well, heck, he's a pretty interesting guy himself. I always like people that have the same

kind of a story that I do. You know, I was a policeman all my life. And then I went to law school.

And then I started doing the podcast and I've written a few three books and done some

documentary movies about the Kansas City mob and Lou did the same thing. He had a whole other

career and then later in life he got into writing and believe me, he's been a prolific writer.

That's a $25 word there. Prolific writer. He's got the Detective

Vick Ben Ginella series, the Gino-Rano series. He's got these true crime books. He's got a series of

short story, short story collections. Lou, welcome.

Tell us a little bit about,

I think everybody's interested in this transition story because a lot of my readers or listeners are kind of our age, I think, and, you know,

and maybe even aspire to do some things like what you've done.

And so tell us how do you get into that and what did you do for a living before?
