Welcome to One Minute Scripter Study, a Come Follow Me podcast. We are your host, Kristen Walker-Smith and Callie Black.

0:09.3

Hey, it's Callie Black here with today's thought. Let's open up to Deuteronomy chapter 30, verse 20.

0:14.9

I was scoping out a hike with some other young women leaders before the youth arrived for girls' camp.

0:20.5

I had never been on this path

0:23.0

before and there were little blue paint marks on sticks and trees along the pathway to help us know

0:29.2

that we were going in the right direction. We suddenly came to a point, though, where we couldn't

0:34.8

see the next blue mark. How were we going to know where to go?

0:39.5

Luckily, one of the leaders in our group had done this hike many times. Follow me, she said,

0:44.6

this part is a little tricky, but I have walked this many times. I had complete confidence to stay

0:50.7

right behind her as we moved forward, and sure enough, we soon found the next blue mark

0:55.0

and continued on the marked trail. When you trust someone, you'll stick by them. You'll willingly

1:02.1

obey their directions because you know they've been there before. In Deuteronomy chapter 30,

1:07.7

verse 20, we read, that thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him.

1:19.0

In our journey here on earth, we have someone who has walked every path we have.

1:25.7

He knows every tricky part, and he invites us to stay with him. So the takeaway of the

1:32.9

day in five words or less, love, obey and cleave. Thank you so much for being here today and for coming

1:40.4

close to Christ with me one minute at a time.

1:51.4

Hey, are you ready to follow the children of Israel as they make their journey through the wilderness, but then they also arrive in the land of Canaan and start to establish their land

1:56.7

and there's kings and there's judges and all sorts of drama?

1:59.7

I would love to help walk you through all of this.
