As I mentioned, you were responsible for running this country's economy for over six years, I believe believe in the 80s.

And you're now well into your ninth decade on this planet.

Have you seen anything like the sort of economic disaster that this country is facing at the moment in your time?

No, I haven't. It is appalling.

And I... it is appalling and I am afraid that the way we're heading is to a disaster.

And when you when you talk into a disaster. Mm.

And when you talk about the direction we're heading, just for ordinary people who watch the show,

who may not be economists or experts in this, who don't have your level of expertise.

Can you just elaborate on what you see coming down the line for this country?

Well, the most serious thing I see coming down the line is nothing to do with this pandemic.

Nothing to do with the coronavirus.

I think that although this lockdown has almost certainly done more harm than good.
