The Fiscal Cliff and the Petraeus resignation.

Hello again, I'm Arminowling, and this is To the Poet from Public Radio International.

A daily look at the issues Americans care about most. The fiscal cliff means all income taxpayers are in for an increase and most government

programs are in for massive reductions by the first of next year. What if the re-elected president

and the lame duck Congress can't make a deal? Would Goodlock necessarily lead to another recession? We'll look at the

financial picture and ask which players have the most to gain or lose in the aftermath of last

week's election. Later on, did the Petraeus Affair compromised national security and the decline

of accountability in the U.S. Army's top brass. When battles are lost, shouldn't generals be fired?

in the aftermath of last week's election, can the President and Congress keep the nation away

from a so-called fiscal cliff? We'll hear about the prospect for compromise to avoid another
