It has been a tumultuous year. In fact, so much has happened, it's easy to forget.

So I thought I'd start this episode just by taking stock a little bit.

2025 has had more conflict than any year in recent memory.

There's the war in Ukraine, which has in fact now expanded to other countries in the region if you consider Russia's drone attacks and cyber warfare.

In the Middle East, Israel decimated Hamas and Hezbollah.

It conducted a 12-day war with Iran, and it also carried out strikes on several other countries

in the region such as Syria and Qatar.

India and Pakistan fought a war.

Thailand and Cambodia saw their border dispute flare up, and Sudan has remained the

world's worst humanitarian crisis.

Outside of war, climate-related disasters have continued to disrupt
