Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on an NCAA selection Monday.

But more importantly, it's Memorial Day.

Let's take some time to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

There are so many Bulldog fans and their families

that have had to bury people that were part of our armed forces.

And I have a tremendous amount of respect for those families and those people that

serve in our armed forces. It is a job that I would not want for myself, but yet they provide

the blanket of freedom in which we rest each and every night. And this day we take some time.

It's not about nights on the river or

barbecue chicken and all that kind of stuff. You know, it's more important than that.

And there's a lot of people these days that kind of confuse Veterans Day and Memorial Day

and both their important holidays in our nation's history.

I submit to you there are very few on the level of

Memorial Day. And so we're going to do a top 10 list today of a very, very famous Southern

rock band that's got ties to Mississippi and probably their base player during their glory days

is a veteran of Vietnam. So we're going to get to that a little bit later, not in any way to

suggest that his life is more valuable than anyone else's. But I wanted to take some time today

to honor him and all of our fallen soldiers in our nation's

history. So that's my feelings about that. And again, you may feel differently, and that's okay.

You know, we live in a relative society these days where some things matter to others.

It don't matter to so many of us. But this is one of those days that I think we can all kind

of put our differences aside and say, you know what, this is the day that we should kind
