Welcome to the Barnyard with Steve Robertson as always. I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the hump-deg edition of the yard. Hope things are well with you wherever you are today. I'm sure many of you have been riveted by the Johnny Depp Amber Heard case. Well, that's finally over. So whether you were keeping up with it or not, I'm sure everybody is glad that it's over.

There have been so many comical moments that have come out of the proceedings that a lot of people have had a lot of fun with that on social media.

But at the end of the day, it's a very serious matter.

There are some things that have happened that people have gotten a good chucklot of,

but it's a very serious matter on both sides. A lot of very serious allegations levied from both parties.

And jury fines in favor of Johnny Depp, Amber Heard awarded $2 million based on a false report,

but though the jury deemed to be a false statement

about her as far as arranging a crime scene and then calling 911. But Johnny Depp believed

on all counts of his defamation case. So there we go. Guys, I've been a Johnny Debb fan for a long

time. You know, and so when all this first came out, I was very troubled by that. I was like, hey, it's difficult to believe this, you know. And then, of course, they pull the curtain back and you kind of get to see that a lot of these Hollywood types deal with the same problems we do. Just they've got a little more money to do it. They take nicer vacations and live nicer homes, but it's still a life on life terms deal for all of us. So there we go.

There is some sports news to report. We're going to talk some baseball today. It's

the comings and goings at Mississippi State. You know, for every player that leaves,

there's one that comes in. So I'm going to provide a little context as best I can to that.

Also, Mississippi State welcomes 17 new scholarship football players to the class.

The guys showed up yesterday.

There was one exception.

That was Don Terry Russell, and he got there today, I believe.

I think today is the day, like the last day to be here.

And, of course, you know, his living situation probably is much less complicated

than perhaps our incoming players because Don Terry Russell's older brother,

DeMonte Russell, already here.

I suspect he's living with him.
