this deserved a double episode, and we are starting this convo just around when my presidential

campaign starts to get its legs under it. And that was the beginning of 2019. Zach, what do you

remember about the beginning of 2019? We had known, so first thing I'll say, I got a lot of

compliments on the first episode, the first part of this, so thanks guys, sounds like we are

going back, memory down memory lane a bit. But um, that's your question. We knew we were getting

on Rogan a little before New Year's, right? I don't know if we found out, right around. Oh snap,

you're right. So I go on Rogan, like second week of February 2019, and I find out about it maybe

like six weeks ahead of time. Yeah, so right in middle of January, it was like, because we were trying

to find out, so we just got, we'd gone Sam Harris like seven months ago or so, and that was a good

boon for us, but like so what other Sam Harris' are there? It was a plan. And the big, the takeaway

was like it's kind of just Joe Rogan and a couple of that big pods. We found out we're going on

Joe and we're like, hell yeah, and then we basically spent to zero. It is really funny where we were

so confident that Joe Rogan was going to catalyze the campaign that we just spent like the money

was going to come in afterwards. In the sense that, uh, I think you were right, you can talk about

this the last episode of like, you know, if Joe Rogan doesn't do it, this campaign's probably

gonna die, um, probably. Um, and it's not worth splitting hairs over $10,000 or whatever we're

talking about, but um, we basically stopped doing the traditional fundraising events and we hope

that Joe Rogan would basically like 10x Sam Harris and give us a healthy runway. And uh, that's
