All right. This is going to be a long run episode of me and John Godine.

John is a East Coast runner who is 63 years old and he's been running ultra since for a very long time.

His first ultra is the JFK 50-miler in 1994.

He's done a lot and he also was diagnosed about five years ago with ALS. And super fan, Billy Clem, reached out to me and said that he thought that I should interview John. And I've been resistant. The problem is that as many of you probably

know my best friend died from ALS that we ran together we ran ultras together so it's kind of one of those things that I didn't really want to do

but then I thought about it and thought that I wish I had interviews of my friend and you know I kind of went back and forth on it.

Anyway, Billy broke me down.

We did the interview, Billy's on the line too. to and you know John has advanced ALS so at times you may not

understand or maybe hard hear him Billy kind of you know picked up the ball and

and kind of helped out a little bit in those instances.

But it was a good discussion.

It was hard for me to do, but also I felt good about doing it afterward.

So you know what, I'm not going to keep telling you about it.
