Hudson, the dynamic duo, the host of the Big Bootcast.

If you want them to talk to you, you have to start listening when they're really young.

Like they need to know that you're listening to them and that may be you know when they're

you know six and they're wanting to tell you about last night I had a dream and what happened

was there were candy canes and blah blah blah and you're like oh my god, like you can

stop.

But it's like you don't have to listen forever because I also think Alanson you want to

say hey you don't want to be the person at a dinner party telling the story that somebody

has given you three.

Wow that's amazing and they're really telling you to wrap it up so like hey there's

a balance like they need you're engaged in listening to what's going on in their world

even at an age when it doesn't interest you because I will tell you they hit about 13

and you're going to be real interested in what's going on in their world and they need

to feel like they can talk to you.

And so I think that listening was always super important like I'm here to listen to what

you have to say and what's happening in your world because that matters to me.

Melanie and Sophie have each met on the show separately and Melanie was actually episode
