Well, it's another edition of For the Many.

It's amazing that we've done six, isn't it?

Time flies when you're having fun, Ian.

Now, shall we start off with the, well, I think it's the big story of the week, the EU summit and what happened before that.

She got an agreement for the DUP.

I think we discussed that last week

and then there was the Commons vote on Wednesday and it really was quite a roller

coaster week for Theresa May wasn't it? That vote on Wednesday was an interesting example of

some pretty bad whipping in my opinion. Perhaps we'll come back to that in a bit.

But in some ways, although it was significant in that it was the first defeat for the government

taking through the Brexit bill, the Great Repeal Bill, in many ways, it doesn't stop the progress

of the Brexit negotiations, which was, of course, the other big story of the week.

But I suspect if things were difficult in getting us to this point, they're going to be

equally as tricky getting us through the next discussions on the transition period and any

trade deal that we're able to do. But you've been in Brussels this week. What was the feel at the

council? Well, I went over on Friday morning, and I've

never been to one of these things. In fact, I hadn't been to Brussels for 27 years. And if it's another

27 years before I go again, I'll be quite happy. What an absolutely ghastly place it is.

Do you mean that because you're not a fan of the EU or more generally?

No, it's got nothing to do with that.

It's just one of those capital cities that doesn't have a lot to commend it in my view.
