We turn though to life in London, which if I understand reading the newspapers correctly,

was not directly challenged by the riots, that is the word that was used and continues to be used in the north of the country.

Many cities where a lot of people are working class, many cities where there are many immigrants second third fourth generation immigrants all

across the northern band of the country. In these last days there have been several

events that are difficult to encapsulate. I'll just say there was a crime. It was

upsetting and it was said to be the trigger and yet riots at that scale with

mass arrests with talk of expanding prison capacity with talk of expanding prison capacity, with talk of using surveillance

techniques on social media. I didn't read anybody using facial recognition

technology but perhaps.

In any event, there was alarm bells in Parliament.

However, and I account for the tragedy of the crime.

Three young people are dead. And the crime. Three young people are dead and the perpetrator is

in custody, alleged perpetrator. However, there is a suggestion here that what we

saw was more than just about one crime.

Maybe even more than migration.

I can't tell I'm too far away.
