| 0:00.0 | This is CBSI on the world. I'm John Batchel with my good colleague Joseph Sternberg. He's in London. |
| 0:09.0 | He helps me interpret the London culture. There is this moment, a labor government in power for several years now, more. |
| 0:19.0 | And Sir Kirstarmer gets all the attention because he's the |
| 0:22.2 | prime minister, but there's a member of labor, Angela Rainer, who's known as Red Rainer. She's |
| 0:27.5 | quite spectacular, and I expect to see her at PM someday, perhaps. However, right now, she's |
| 0:33.9 | worked up something called the workers' rights, and it includes a banter ban. |

| 1:23.9 | something and then the customer gets very frustrated. And so I think that my read on what the labor government is trying to do here is crack down |
| 1:31.3 | on this issue of customers yelling at or getting in fights with customer service staff. |
| 1:37.2 | But then, of course, they end up writing it in such an expansive way that raises the danger that you're going to have pub landlords policing |
| 1:47.3 | the jokes that their customers are telling, in hearing of the staff and that sort of thing. |
| 1:52.7 | And I think it's just representative of this deeper cultural problem that the UK has, which |
| 1:58.1 | I think is becoming spreading across other parts of the West, too, |
| 2:02.4 | where we all just seem to be forgetting how to behave around each other. |
