I'm John Bachelorette.

To London, to Joseph Sternberg, my colleague, he is a member of the editorial board of the

Wall Street Journal.

He writes political economics for the Wall Street Journal editorial page.

He's based in London and I depend upon Joe to look at all of Europe, not just the United

Kingdom.

For politics of the moment, the recovery from the pandemic in the worldwide inflation

is certainly in the war in Ukraine, the war in Europe, and the NATO versus Russian Federation

contest.

Also, doubts about China and its intentions in Europe.

But we begin today in a US story, and I'm keen on London's point of view and Joe's

point of view, about the indictment of the former president, Mr. Trump, by a Manhattan

district attorney, a local attorney, inditing a former president who is at the same time a candidate

for the presidency.

Gerard Baker, the former editor-in-chief of Wall Street Journal, Joe's paper, now a columnist

calls this a shodily prefabricated case.

That's my explanation without going into the details anymore than that because it's

a construction that I can't remember very carefully.

Shoddily prefabricated cases enough for me, the politics of this or everything.
