The election of 2024 and economists. This is a rarefied subject, so I go to someone who watches economists very closely.

Here's one.

Joseph Sternberger, the Wall Street Journal editorial page.

He writes political economy column.

He's based in London.

And in the recent election, there was a mystery as to why the Democrats lost so badly.

And I mean badly, all seven swing states.

And to my knowledge, they're still counting votes,

but it looks as if they lost their advantage even in blue states.

For example, where I am right now in Southern New England and Connecticut,

they went from a 22-point gap over the Republicans, this is a blue state, to an 11-point gap.
