our learning here in the first century A.D. We've used examples of emperors that go wrong,

and examples of emperors that are lazy. That would be Tiberius towards the last 20 years of his life.

Emperors that are not worthy of the office, that would be Nero.

And we now can offer two examples of emperors who see the problem and they have different

solutions.

And the Roman one is the second solution.

I'm talking about the mission, our emperor right now.

We're very far away so we can say these things to you and not be heard.

We believe.

He's weak and he's crossed the Senate.

And the Senate is not fair-minded.

The Senate wants to keep its money, wants to grow its properties.

And Domitian has been troublesome.

I think they just don't like him.

He's got a difficult personality.

He's the Spatian's son, and therefore he inherited his role.

Probably not appropriately.

His older brother Titus was better at it, but still.

And therefore,

Domitian, when he comes up against a rock that won't move,

he thinks bribery, not conquest, not strategy, bribery.
