It may well be that Britain is closed for business, but the Independent Republic is very much open for business and will continue to be open for business.

Britain is, ladies and gentlemen, officially closed. Don't go to the pub, don't go to work, don't get on a train, don't go on holiday. Don't go out for lunch. Do not go out for dinner. Don't go to the gym. Don't go to the

cinema. Don't get on the bus. Don't go to the shops. Don't get anything delivered.

Don't visit your elderly relatives. And whatever you do, it's Sadiq Khan, who is to blame.

The mayor of London has decided, in his wisdom, to change the public transport schedules

to weekend timetables.

You know what that means?

It means that the underground trains run every seven minutes instead of every two minutes.

So effectively, the trains are more crowded, more people will get coronavirus, more people

will become infected, more people will die.

So top marks to Sadiq Khan.

We have asked him to come on the show.

He normally refuses.

We will expect him to come on this time, though, because this is a matter of public health,

of course, and I'm sure he would not wish to shun people who listen to this radio station getting informed properly

and having an explanation as to why he's making them crowd onto trains

when they could be getting onto much less busy ones.
