Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk Radio.

Let us get down to business, ladies and gentlemen. The noose is tightening around our economy

and we need to make sure that it isn't suffocated altogether. Restaurants are shutting up shop,

pubs are ever more deserted and even our supermarkets are having to ration groceries to the idiots

who are still panic buying up and down the country. Some of them are now saying you'll only be

able to buy three of anything that you want to try and put into your trolley. Today we return

to the House of Parliament for Prime Minister's questions, a rather luxurious distraction

to the coronavirus crisis we find ourselves in. Yesterday, Chancellor Rishi Sunak unveiled a 350 billion pound kiss of life

for businesses and individuals who are coming up against it.

But where is the help for people who rent their houses and homes rather than people who own them?

Where is the help for freelancers?

Where is the help for the self-employed?

And for those people who literally have nowhere to go because they've

been told not to go to work. The hardworking people of this country deserve protection from

this ghastly disease and its financial consequences which are going to be far worse than anything

the bug can do. Don't get me wrong. I'm not going to sit here and criticize what the government

is doing. What I am saying is that this is by far and away the biggest

financial disaster that this country has ever experienced. Make no mistake, forget about 2008,

forget about the banks collapsing, forget about 9-11, forget about Black Monday back in the 80s,

forget about the mortgage rates going through the roof when you had to pay 15% interest. That is nothing compared
