Hey, good morning. It's Patricia Murphy. It's Wednesday. This is Seattle now. Washington State

lost $23 million in funding for AmeriCorps jobs last month after cuts from the Trump administration.

Volunteers who say they're deeply connected to the community they serve are being told to go home.

Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell will talk about new plans to revitalize the Chinatown

International District this morning.

Former Governor Gary Locke will be there alongside local business owners and the non-profit

friends of Little Saigon.

The mayor's office says the public-private partnership will improve safety and support

economic growth. Harrell's announcement begins at 1030. Also this morning, King County Council

members will learn more about potential state and federal funding cuts to reproductive health care.

Advocates say some cuts are already affecting care. There are staff shortages and clinics at risk of closure. Pro-choice Washington and Planned Parenthood are among those who will address the issue before the council. The hearing begins at 930. Catch it live on King County TV. And Washington State is joining two new lawsuits against the Trump administration.

The state is suing over the federal government's effort to withhold funding from states that don't

assist with federal immigration enforcement. One suit was filed against FEMA and the Department
