to Beyond Reality Radio. Good to have you on the program. Hey, guys. Thanks for having me.

Thanks for being here. Lyle, of course, is an author, a cryptid researcher, and a musician.

A lot of books to his credit, a lot of stories to his credit.

And Lyle, we want to start by talking about the Lizard Man stories.

Tell us what the origin is and what the legends are and what the sightings are.

Well, that one is one that's kind of always interested me.

You know, I've read plenty of Cryptos-Walgy books and often ran across an account from 1988

in which a young man in South Carolina claimed that he was attacked by an upright,ilian type humanoid creature.

And he was near a place called Skatebor Swamp when he had a flat tire late at night.

And as he was finishing that up, that's when he saw the creature coming at him through some through a grassy area and of course

he jumped in the car and as he tried to get away the thing jumped on the car and trying to get

in so obviously a very sensational encounter and one that had come across my radar like I said so

when I finished my Vista Bargy

Creek book, as I was looking for subjects to write about for the next one, I seemed to like

these sort of swampy southern stories. So I actually went out to the place where that happened

in Bishopville, South Carolina, to look into the case some more. So you had, you know, that, that initial sensational encounter,

which was investigated by the police. That made the news. And there was a lot of media coverage

that went on there in the summer of 1988. And of course, you know, as in many of these cases, other people had sightings, you know,

after that date and then others came forward saying that they had seen something fitting

that description in the swamp, you know, for several years prior.
