Summary

Liz Truss has won the Conservative leadership race, and will become Britain's prime minister tomorrow. In a speech in Westminster this morning, after finding out the result, Truss paid tribute to Boris Johnson, promised to 'govern as a conservative' and said she would 'deliver, deliver, deliver'. What should we expect from the first days of the Truss premiership?

0:48.6	Fraser, what's your initial reaction?
0:50.4	Rishi Sunak got a bigger share of the votes than we expected.
0:54.0	Ever since we've been discussing this rebase race,
0:56.4	it's always in terms of Liz Truss being absolutely ahead.
0:59.7	I had that being like 80-20.
1:01.3	I was talking to Intelligate this morning who was saying there are some places
1:04.4	in the north of England who were not a single person in the hall
1:07.0	was in favour of Rishi Sunak.
1:08.8	So, to come as close as he did is interesting.
1:12.1	Her 57% stands on contrast to the 66%, the Boris Johnson won
1:17.2	in the same leadership contest.
1:18.5	And even that, it wasn't a particularly resounding figure.
1:21.1	So, this is of course a decisive result.
