Today we have the honor of hearing from Liz.

Liz was an unpaid intern and lay counselor at her church.

She is a bold, kind, compassionate woman that spent many hours advocating for her church to see women

and to create spaces where they could find safety and care.

There was beautiful, tangible fruit that came from her hard work,

and she was hopeful that her pastors would also value the need for a role dedicated to this.

But she was met with indifference and the hard reality that it's really not a priority for them.

I'm John a Harris, and this is the Bodies Behind the Bus podcast.

I am all about blessed subtraction.

There is a pile of dead bodies behind the Marsville bus.

And by God's grace, it'll be a mountain by the time we're done.
